Haven't posted here in a while...
A few conclusions:
Memphis is actually a pretty cool city to live in...if you have a car.
Everything God intended for someone to have is on/within 3 blocks of Poplar Avenue.
Apparently there is gonna be a mall in Germantown to outdo the one in Collierville...this one is gonna have Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, and Saks according to the parentals...cool, i guess.
Burke's Bookstore is amazing...so are the people there...and the cheap classics...Tristram Shandy!!!
Moe's is cool when you know the Moe's World Cup is coming up...tomorrow, actually
Atlanta is gonna be fun
Panic! At the Disco in St. Louis is gonna be funner
Lata, fools |

:-D
That was a fantastic trip.
Well, the rumors that apparently are also going on at St. Mary's about things that DID NOT go in Nashville...i think a certain someone pissed the team off...argh.
But other than that...pretty sweet.
Granted, I had some girl who randomly came up and did a bump and grind number on me, but hey...it was memorable too.
O, and my whole "am I going to prom?" thing is settled. I'm going. and it's gonna be cool. especially since there will be a stripper shuttle revival. |

| I think this is how I feel... |
[Mar. 16th, 2006|10:14 am] |
From the very liberal Mr. Corey French...GSH '05 alum:
"I grew so much in so many ways over this trip. I don't care what anyone says, I absolutely love President Bush. I still think he's a misguided man with whom I can probably never agree. However, he was scheduled to be in a meeting at eleven o'clock, which was the time we were supposed to have our picture taken with him. Now, he could have been like every other speaker who had a similar conflict and cancelled on us, but he didn't. It would have been enough to just come out and take a picture with us, but he came out and spoke to us for about five minutes. Then after our pictures he went through and thanked all our escort officers for their service to our country. Then he went to the back of the risers and shook hands with the delegates back there. And as he walked into the corridor, one of the delegates called out to him, "Mr. President, would you give me the honor of shaking your hand?" Now, anyone could have kept walking and acted like they didn't hear, but he turned around and came back to shake more hands. He made himself late to his appointment for us. He made us actually feel like we mattered to him.
Now, call it what you will, a PR stunt, whatever, but that shows class, true class. He may not be a very good President, but he is a good man. Those actions just speak volumes when some lesser figures deemed their engagements too pressing to even bother to meet with us. Will post pics when I can get some." |

This week has been one of the suckiest ones in a while...
-Kirkpatrick has gone from ammusingly bizarre to just a real pain in the ass -Fed is beginning to piss me off by the way certain people view it as a way to keep me in line...whatever...maybe we'll see a second change in members this year -Fifer's was fun...then glasses go...what the hell? -Come home...mom gets uber pissed (as I expected) and tells me that I will be the one footing the bill for glasses...shit shit shit -I get to go blind for a week...rather, I get to wear prescribed sunglasses until I get my next paycheck to pay for the new things...woot for me!
Anyone got a a black market dealer for glasses? |

Had my ritual State of the Union party with mary over the phone...always fun stuff. John Kerry was looking as scary as normal. Madam Clinton was number 2 on my "Ten Ugliest People at the SOTU" list. Number one was some randome obese woman in red and on the Democrat side. Fools, why do you act like caged animals in heat when Bush mentions SS reform that didn't pass...bitches. jk, all my Dem lovers! I think the best part of the night was the Democrats' Response...from the governor of "The great commonwealth of Virginia". I think he said "the great commonwealth of Virginia" 17 times in his 10 minute speech. Apparently if the country was run like Virginia under his rule, we'd be perfect. Loser. The fact that when he arched his eyebrows, one half of his face remained arched for about 4 seconds longer than the other half freaked me out a bit. Anyway...Fed tomorrow, so I get to sleep in for a bit. I'm off to read and watch tv. Lata! |

MY HAPPY DAY!!!
- Wake up at 4.30 and realize that I fell asleep on top of my APUSH. Finish reading the chapter for my test with the hope of actually getting to go back to sleep. Due to dozing, I don't finish until 6.15...go, hop in the shower, bolt downstairs to find any liquid.
- Speed to school, thank God for the fact that there was no ice on my car this morning.
- Nearly hit 5 freshmen on the way into the reserved parking lot as they head over to V Gym. Come to think of it, I do that a lot these days.
- Have a ball with the APUSH test by making one of my three essays anti-female/feminist (TONGUE-IN-CHEEK!!!). My favorites were my lines on Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Susan B. Anthony dropping the kids and leaving the turkey in the oven to burn while they go march about in a 19th Century Lillith Fair fashion in the name of feminism...ah, I also liked my line about feminists making up for lost time with their "I can do better than men" attitude by campaigning for birth control so they can have just as many, if not more!, sexual conquests as Casanova. I saw Sanders laugh when he read it, so that made me happy.
- Read Oprah's book during English...o, more (and final!) TCAP writing...line to note: "Physical education should not be a four-year program if we continue to only hire football coaches who smoke ten packs a day and are only interested in informing their classes of their many sexual trysts at Woodstock '99 while high on ecstasy." Kirkpatrick is going to hate me.
- Groaned in Chemistry at our substitute who is replacing Adams...I still ask myself if he realizes that there is this little thing known as the AP exam that we take in a few months.
- Took note of our division in Iconoclast...boring people on one side while the cool, black people are on the other side. Gil and I are with the cool, black people, so that makes it the cool, black, Filipino, white people.
- Wordsmith
- Walked to Mock Trial
- Got a call to go home and check on my sick mother since Dad was out taking pictures for the insurance company.
- Slept until 5.
- Work.
- Starbucks while talking to Carrie
- Using my chai buzz on livejournal rather than Chemistry.
- End.
